Dark Messiah of Might & Magic Elements Hands on Demo Review

I downloaded and played the demo of this under the radar game today.  I haven’t talked much about this game because of well…Two Worlds really burned my chaps.  Another fantasy title trying to be like Oblivian, thats what I thought any way.  Wow, I was very pleasantly surprised by this demo.  The first person perspective kinda got me for a minute but I quickly adapted and it started to feel like the other titles that I have enjoyed.

The spell effects were nice and combat felt great.  Impaling enemies while they were twisting in pain on the ground gave a barbaric feel.   The long and the short of it is…I really enjoyed myself today and played through both available classes…the mage and the warrior.  I will keep you posted and I fully anticipate either a purchase or a gamefly rental on this one.
