Mr. Johnson found us some more great info on Two Worlds. He told me about it and I tracked it all down for you to read. This sheds a lot more light on the very vague information thus far on the multi-player This is directly from their forums:
Share ThisHi all, as it seems, a lot of people have a ton of questions and nobody wants to answer them, so well, i will try to ump into the breach here and answer your questions regarding multiplayer, but a few thing to remember:
1. Im no native english speaker, so dont blame me for bad spelling / grammar (hints on mistakes i make are appretiated, even if a PM would be better than a posting about it)
2. So far i have not seen *that* much, unlocked a few terretories, did a few quests, had quite a lot of fun, i have an Necromancer, an Ranger and an Adventurer so far (the last one started as thief but i bought a ton of skills for him, so i pretend he is a Adventurer, kind of jack of all trades, eben if he technically is a thief still) so if i cant answer specific questions, dont get mad about it please, i will, as soon as i find the time, log in and try stuff if im not s**** about the answer
3. I can only answer PC related game Questions, as i dont have a game console and wont buy one
4. Please *READ* the Postings allready made, so we avoid unnecesarry double tripple or whatever number you like postings of questions.Ok, so go on

When you log on, do you arrive in a town? or is there a room or what?
After logging in, you are at your Character Selection Screen, there you can share your characters equipment with your other chars (like, if your Warrior found a nice bow, you can hand it to your Archer) or you can put it in your Accounts General Inventory
(think of it like the chest in Diablo, with much more room)If you are done with everything, you can choose a Town (for now there are 3, which need to be unlocked through solving Quests on the adjanced maps, so you have to play through all Maps adjanced to town 1 to unlock town 2 and all of town 2 to unlock town 3)
What are the lobby towns like?
Well, the Lobby TOwns are just Towns, there you can hang out, meet People, open/join
Games, sell and buy equipmet form a Guild and check the Player/Guild rankings.
you can even do some RP if you like to, as the towns are quite nice and have a decent size.
What are the multiplayer maps/areas like?
If you check the Main Page, you can see the World map, a multiplayer map roughly consists of 4 Squares you can see there (Glaciers Area in the Upper right for example) but please dont nail me down on the size, as it varies from Map to Map. So you can run arround, do quests/explore or just kill creatures, if you know Guild Wars Nightfall the Maps are a bit like the Maps there, but the Two Worlds Maps look and feel more alive.
How is the atmosphere/ambiance of the game world? Is it engaging and fun to explore?
Yes it is, i played quite some time now, but i still dont have explored all of the Maps, in fact i fought my way through to bring you as many informations as possible going to explore a bit later today. With the Monsters changing each time you start a Map new it even is funn to reenter a Map once in a while.
Are there dungeons, caves, or ruins of any sort to fight-hunt in the areas for the MP?
Caves? Yes, but those are not to deep. Ruins are plenty, some small, some bigger, you can
even find special places, like the white dragons Nest and those Big Black Towers. How big is an area (compared to a game of your choice)?
Its hard to compare this, as different Maps have different size, but, as i tried, to get some numbers, running from the Center to the Map straight to the Northern Border, it took me 3 minutes so i guess, you run (if you just run, dont fight, dont explore, just run straight) you need about 6 mins from one Border to the other
How many areas have you seen? Do you think there are more?
6 Areas and one Arena for the first Town
4 Areas and 3 Arenas (for pvp) in the second Town
4 Areas and 2 Arenas on the third town
4 or 5 (i dont know for s****) on the PvP TownSo you have (for now) 14 Maps to explore in PvE and 9 PvP Maps (or 10?)
Has there been any hacking that you have heard of?
I have read one thread somwhere about “Hacking” but then, it was a LvL 40 complaining that he got beaten up by an lvl 120 so, i wont give too much about the “cheating” here, rather seems like fighting someone who is 3 times your LvL is pointless (which is fine if you ask me)
My wife wants to know if there are different hairstyles to choose from for the female characters? If there is, can I make a shaved head for my male?
5 Hairstyles (elves and humans share the same) 8 Colors Same for males, but no shaved head, sorry but maybe we will see more in the future?
Is it set in stone that there will only be 2 playable races in multiplayer or will the devs live up to thier initial jan 23 promise of the full list of races?
I dont know… so far i found Orc helmets, which cant be worn by Elves and Humans, so my guess is, there will be other races put in with patches. But please dont nail me down on it, as i dont know for s****, my guess is as good as yours, for now im collecting the orc helmets ^^
Are there unique, magic, and other types of items?
Yes, Rings with +stats/defenses, same goes for weapons, and there are some named weapons. If there are uniques i cant tell you so far,
i have seen no equipment with: may have only one in the requirements but then, im far from having seen everything. But i would guess, there arent true uniqes, as it wouldnt work with the double up feature (double up means, stacking two items, two leather armors type 1 for example, to get a better armor)How do guilds work in multiplayer?
You have to pay 2.000 Gold to form a Guild, sorry that i cant tell you more right now, i will see to it soon (TM)
How is the PvP?
Well, there are different PvP Versions, PvE-PvP where you can join an Arena adjanced to the PvE Towns, to fight with your PvE Char vs others, which is a
quite Level/Equip dependant version of PvP, and true PvP, which offers, quite like Guild Wars, as leveled playing field, as PvP only Chars start out at lvl 20 with predefined equipment and skills, so here decides the Player Skill about the outcome of the battle, as your PvP Vhars cant level up and such.Does the multiplayer include other activities such as horse racing and gambling?
Yes, it does, you can access such things (horse racing) through the PvP Arenas adjanced to the PvE Towns. PvP Town Arenas allow for Horse Stealing, Monster killing Team deathmatch and such.
Have you ever played Diablo 2? If so, how would you compare the gameplay to Two Worlds Multiplayer?
Well, interesting question *g* both games have in common that you fight your way throught hordes of enemys. But Two WOrlds offers quite more when it comes down to the combat system, Two WOrlds just offers more tactic in the COmbat system, s**** you *can* left klick/potion drink your way through, but then you can use your abbilitys, for example, when fighting a single Grom armed with Sword and shield, you couldnt use your dirty trick on it, because a shield protects from that skill, but what you could do is, grab your axe, use your abbility to take his shield away (thats a skill, which, when used [only with axe] makes the opponents shield drop to the ground) then you would be free to use dirty trick on him, to stun him for a momment and finaly use your off hand sword breaker (if you learned the skill) to, well the name defines the game, breake his sword, after beeing defensless, the coward will run.
At all, Combat offers quite some options, like arches disarming the warriors opponent, so he can make short work out of them, and it even is possible to fight like a warrior would, with kepping enemys, even if you are encirceled, at range, but that requires a *lot* of skill, as you have to pass the momment when the enemy will have his weapon ready to strike at you and you have to hit him then, so his attack gets interrupted (dont try this on berserkers
) but, as mentioned, all those things are a option, for those who find joy in fighting with skill and wits, you can as mentioned, just klick the enemys death and drink potions
Are there any Boss-type monsters or npcs to find and fight in any of the areas?
Named bosses, i didnt encounter so far, but there are some quite dangerous Beasts, like the Dragons (reall Dragons, you know, the Big, Bad 4 legged, winged, fire breathing kind of dragon) and Golems. About those Creatures, i would suggest, you check if you are able to run faster than the others of your group, so you at least get some quite nice show, before the dragon comes after you to finish you off
and yes, you can beat them but it is quite some work, if you arent prepared right, Stone Dragons for example take me quite some time (about 20 minutes) to get them down right now, and i get hit
quite a bit during the fight, but then, i dont know how that will change in higher levels (everything above 100)Can you restart that same mission?
As often as you want, yes.
Does anything that you have killed came back? (Unlike in the single player)
Yes
If they do come back, are they in the same spot as before? Or do they move around?
After restarting an Map, the Spawn changes in location and type, so, one day you encounter 3 Orcs, the next there may be 2 Iron Golems and the thir maybe theres nothing at all.
Is it easy to form parties with other players?
Yes, in theory it is, you open a game, others join, game starts (you may even allow people to join after the game allready has started) but in reallity, its hard to find open games, most people password protect the games and/or dont name them properly, if you start a game, it will be named after your char, but you can rename it, into whatever you like (fo example: leveling, join if you want lvl 10+) but then, naming games properly seems to be death since Diablo 2
maybe this changes when the rest of the world gets the game shipped ^^
What is the current level cap?
LvL what? ^^ As far as i can tell there is none.
Are there any player shops?
No. If you want to sell something you have to do it the old fashioned way, standing there and telling others what you have fopr sale.
What are the various way’s of making money?
You best bet is to do Quests/Fight, s**** you can make money with selling stuff, but you get really *much* money for quests, so its hard to ever run out of money, most players have millions.
Does the multiplayer seem like a tacked-on novelty or is it substantial enough for long term playability with friends?
For itself it is indeed really nice, but the really long Term fun comes, like with other online games, from the community and the people you know. But rest as****d,
without level cap and the double up for items, you have enough to do. But, if you expect a Story driven Multiplayer part, thats not the case, Quests boil down to retrieve/kill and repeat themself quite often, but then, at last for me, the Fun comes from the really nice World and the Fighting systemAre the lag and glitches as bad as some are saying they are?
I havent encountered any lag problems, but then, most people think if the PC stops working for a second or two it is lag, even if that is just crappy hardware/a crappy PC setup (Addware and stuff) Glitches i have encountered quite a few by now, mostly problems with quest mobs spawned in walls :/ allthougth nothing game breaking, it is nasty from time to time. But then we will have another patch *g* so maybe this gets fixed.
Is it possible to play multiplayer quests in single-player? That is, could I set up a LAN game and play the multiplayer game solo?
No, it is not.

) but, as mentioned, all those things are a option, for those who find joy in fighting with skill and wits, you can as mentioned, just klick the enemys death and drink potions
maybe this changes when the rest of the world gets the game shipped ^^
