Well, for starters I will get this out on the table. Two Worlds is not Oblivion and although it is easy to want to compare the two…it won’t happen here. Two Worlds brings a vast sand box for adventures to fight the fight and gather just an absolute ton of phat lewt. The landscapes are breath taking and inspires you to climb atop the mountain just to see what is on the other side. The game offers creatures to ride, magic to cast, magical armor, crafting and powerful weapons.

Fun (7/10)

The game does offer a bit of fun for sure. It is a game that lends itself to a lot of hack n slash. There are more times than not when you enter an area filled with multiple monster wondering why the developers put just so many of them in there for you to clear out. Thinking out of the box to solve this problem…you find yourself leading them back to a healing area, so you can be healed while you fight saving all your mana for spells. The game is enjoyable and you will find yourself wanting to play the game in order to progress farther into to story line. Ya…..lets talk about that for a second. I HAVE TO SAVE MY SISTER. Really what kind of crap is that, they couldn’t dream up anything else more creative. The general story line is rather bland, but they do their best in order to spruce it up along the way. The game is more fun if you happen to be on the phone with your buddies so you can mock the horrible script that was given to the actors to read….ya read…not act. The script throws out ill placed early English words betwix the other pertinent information. OMG it is soooo irritating :)

Gameplay (7/10)

Hack and slash is fun, but after you play a while you begin to realize there is a pattern to the mobs you face. Hence the usual play of HACK, HACK, HACK, DODGE, rinse and repeat. Riding of the horse can best be described as a simulation rather than using it just to go a little faster. You can control the speed of the mount which is useful. You can fight from a horse and although it is useful as well….I find it a bit frustrating. You turn on your horse much like you could in real life…in slow deliberate circles. This does make you a bit more durable and you need to be because you probably circled so much you will get the surrounding mobs beating on you as well. I don’t mind the horse at all…I kinda enjoy it. The long sweeping motion of the two handed sword and spears is very enjoyable as well. I love watching all the mobs drop in almost unison. The interface has its quirks and could have used a bit more common sense when putting it all together. I find it difficult managing my quests with the interface. Just a simple highlight on the selected quest would have been nice….one you can actually see.

(Co-op 0/10)

Why the hell would any one release a game that lists multi-player on the box and it really not work…..at all. Multi-player is broke, bugged, not complete…..you get to pick. The game modes look interesting. With out this portion of the game fixed…and fixed fast. This game will sit on the shelves gathering dust.

Replayability (6/10)

Two Worlds does offer character creation and two different races in multi-player. But really, in single player there really isn’t much of a need for any customization, you usually stand in front of the NPC’s blabbing away with your helmet on. Without Co-op this game has little replayability. Yes you can decided to spend your character points in different fields and make yourself more of a caster than a melee’r.

Money for Value (6/10)

Once again I will have to revisit the lack of multi-player. The whole ….is it worth the money thing….would be a resounding yes if it had quality Multi-player until then…get it with gamefly…play it for a month and get another game.

Last W3rd

If you are a RPG enthusiast and can get by some bad interface items you should buy this game and hope they fix the multi-player.

Pros: Customization, expansive world, lush mountains, great armor graphics

Cons: bad script, iffy interface, a horse that makes a better bank than a mount, no multi-player (its broke)
